Conference

Landmarks Illinois is partnering with
Traditional Building Exhibition and Conference to offer a discounted registration rate for our members to
attend this fall’s conference. The three-day program, which includes over 65
educational sessions, workshops, and tours, is one of the largest events of its
kind in the U.S. Preservation topics include: building sensitive additions in
landmark districts, award-winning rehabilitation projects, protecting mid-20th
century architecture, repairing historic windows, and utilizing tax incentives.
This year’s exhibit hall features live demonstrations of common restoration
projects for interested do-it-yourselfers. Over 20 American Institute of
Architects Continuing Education credits may be earned at this event. For further

Illinois Members
Landmarks Illinois members will
receive a unique Registration Form in the mail allowing them to take advantage
of a substantial discount for the Traditional Building Exhibition and

CLG Workshop
Chicago, September 18-20
A training workshop for the
preservation staff of Illinois Certified Local Governments (CLGs) will be held
in conjunction with the Traditional Building event. For workshop details and

American Planning Association (APA)
2008 Illinois State Conference

Meet with colleagues from across the
state and enhance your planning skills by attending the APA--Illinois Chapter’s
annual conference. Landmarks Illinois is part of the program committee for this
year’s conference, which will include sessions on the most common preservation
